2021-2022 School Year

I am honoured to serve the people of Pasqua First Nation as part of the Education team. Together, with Chief and Council, we continue to develop our ability to deliver high quality education with a focus on academic achievement and life success. We are guided and inspired to reach deep into ourselves to deliver the best for children and youth attending Chief Paskwa Education Center (CPEC). It is the outstanding team of people who are employed at CPEC who make such a positive difference in the lives of our learners. Every role is critical to overall success and I recognize the contributions of all staff, volunteers and leadership in travelling the road to education success, together.
 
Our 2020-2021 school year is unprecedented in terms of the Covid-19 pandemic. All of us have been profoundly affected and everyone is doing the best they can, given the circumstances. Together, we have made many changes to meet the needs of our learners and their families. We have boldly stepped into 21st century learning through the use of education technology. This shift has allowed us to add ‘virtual’ instruction in our school ‘tool-box’. We thank everyone for taking the time to organize at-home learning space for their children. It is through a united effort, with children and youth remaining our focus, that we will survive the pandemic and become stronger because of it.
 
Together, we are being tested in our creativity, commitment and resilience through current challenges. When we work together in a supportive way we will grow. This growth will strengthen us in all aspects of our lives. I am committed to doing my part to support each and every person involved in the Pasqua First Nation Education Authority.
