Good day CPEC family! We are at the halfway point of this semester and you know what that means? That's right. Midterm exams! Yay! Midterm exams are scheduled for Thursday, May 13th and Friday, May 14th. Students write their period 1 class exam, from 9:00am - 12:00pm and their period 2 class exam, from 1:00pm - 4:00pm on Thursday. They write their period 3 class exam, from 9:00am - 12:00pm and their period 4 class exam, from 1:00pm - 4:00pm on Friday. Students are required to stay online for a minimum one hour while they write their exam. If students need more than that first hour, they have extra time built into the schedule. They can use the full three hours if needed.
If a student knows they will be absent due to an appointment, etc., they need to make arrangements with their teacher, before hand, to either reschedule their exam time or write the exam prior to exam day. Otherwise, all students are expected to be online at their scheduled time to write their exam. Students who do not show up for their scheduled exam time, run the risk of earning a zero. At this point, with no valid reason, the opportunity to reschedule their exam time will be up to the discretion of the classroom teacher. If you or your student have any questions, please contact either Vice Principal Jason Desjarlais or your student's classroom teacher. Click on the button below to see the table version of the exam schedule. Hey CPEC family! It's that time of year, to sport your CPEC gear! That's right, on May 12th wear your CPEC clothing, whether it be a t-shirt, a hoodie (sorry, we live in Saskatchewan, I meant bunny hug), sweat pants, a toque, a ball cap, jacket, etc. You will earn points for your Team so make sure your fellow classmates and teachers see you in your finest CPEC duds!
Join us in wearing red on May 5th to raise awareness and honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Click on the button below to learn more about this day and other ways you can honour and support families.
That's right folks! It's that special time of year again. Star Wars Day will be celebrated on Tuesday, May the 4th! How can you celebrate this amazing day? Well, there are several ways to be truthful. Here are just a few of them.
- Watch any of the movies, tv shows, or cartoons! This year, if you happen to have Disney Plus, you can watch the new show Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Yay! - Dress up in your favourite Star Wars cosplay or wear your favourite Star Wars shirt! - Use the Force and build a Star Wars Lego set! - Listen to the Star Wars soundtracks. There are many iconic Star Wars songs from Vader's March, to the Cantina Song and many, many more! - Have a light sabre duel! Use your replica light sabre or make one from a wrapping paper tube or a pool noodle! - Google the ways to celebrate. The internet is full of amazing ideas! Click on the button below to see an example! Whatever you decide to do, remember the wise words of Yoda, "Do or do not. There is no try." Also, please check out this month's calendar, for many more "happenings" in the month of May. There is a lot going on at CPEC! |
