Now that semester two has come to an end and report cards have been sent out, we know what credits have been earned. Some students though have either failed the course or have not completed all the required outcomes of the course. In some special cases, these students will be offered "credit recovery" and be given another opportunity to earn that particular credit. Please note, not all students are offered credit completion. A number of criteria must be met first. We look at the students attendance, their current grade, the number of assignments completed, their effort, their attitude and their willingness to accept credit completion.
Students are given an additional 30 days to complete the assignments in their credit recovery plan. Their homeroom teacher will communicate with them and inform them of the plan's details. Students will have until April 25th to complete their assignments. This allows three days for the home room teacher to correct their work, update the grade, and complete the paper work. It also allows the office to complete the online administrative procedures before the end of the 30 day period. Students who have been offered credit recovery will be contacted, along with their parent(s)/guardian(s).

Just a friendly reminder CPEC family, that there are no online classes on Tuesday, March 30. This is the transition day between semesters, where teachers are finishing up report cards and planning and prepping for the next semester. Classes resume on Wednesday, March 31, for the start of semester three. Yay! This is the last semester of the school year. Please note, that students have classes on Wednesday and Thursday and then Easter break begins on Friday.
Good day CPEC family, we are nearing the end of semester two and you know what that means? That's right. Final exams! Yay! Final exams are scheduled for Friday, March 26th and Monday, March 29th. Students write their period 1 class exam, from 9:00am - 12:00pm and their period 2 class exam, from 1:00pm - 4:00pm on Friday. They write their period 3 class exam, from 9:00am - 12:00pm and their period 4 class exam, from 1:00pm - 4:00pm on Monday. Students are required to stay online for a minimum one hour while they write their exam. If students need more than that first hour, they have extra time built into the schedule. They can use the full three hours if needed.
If a student knows they will be absent due to an appointment, etc., they need to make arrangements with their teacher, before hand, to either reschedule their exam time or write the exam prior to exam day. Otherwise, all students are expected to be online at their scheduled time to write their exam. Students who do not show up for their scheduled exam time, run the risk of earning a zero. At this point, with no valid reason, the opportunity to reschedule their exam time will be up to the discretion of the classroom teacher. Not the funky socks you see on the right. No one wants to see or smell those. On Monday, March 22nd, wear your funky socks and show your fellow classmates online. You'll earn points for your Team! We of course will need proof, so you'll have to hold your little hoofers up to the camera. Don't be shy! Just be fly! Or in this case, just be funky.
